Western Cricket Review

Write for us

We welcome pitches that help readers see a part of cricket more clearly. We are interested in original explanations of the laws, tactics, roles, formats and traditions of the game, written for curious readers rather than only specialists.

What makes a strong pitch

Start with one specific question and explain the answer your piece would help readers reach. Tell us why the subject matters, what ground it covers and how you would keep it distinct from familiar score-first coverage. A useful pitch has a clear point, a manageable scope and a reader who can be named.

A clear, careful approach

We value precise language, sound explanations and a willingness to distinguish established rules from tactical interpretation. Please identify any sources or specialist input your proposal would need, and flag potential conflicts of interest. Do not send unpublished confidential material or present an unverified claim as fact.

Send a proposal

Proposals are sent through the Contact page. Choose the editorial question option and include a short outline, the intended reader and a brief note about your relevant experience. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication.
